PLLA Molding Cog Thread 19G 100mm: Heat-Free Moulded Lifting Thread

Deenora Thread is a one-stop aesthetic medicine supply platform, with professional thread supply at its core. The PLLA Molding Thread is our heavy-duty lifting cog: a 3rd-generation moulded thread in poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), offered in three delivery systems, sharp needle, L cannula and W cannula, so practitioners can match the insertion tool to the anatomy and technique rather than compromise on one format.

What makes a 3rd-generation molding thread different

Conventional cog threads are typically cut or heat-processed to form barbs. PDO and PCL sutures are sensitive to temperature, so heat can alter the filament's structure. Deenora molding threads are formed by a heat-free moulding process, so the cogs are part of the thread body rather than cut into it, and the material keeps its original characteristics at the point of use. The result is:

Maximum lift: moulded cogs grip tissue along the full length for strong vector repositioning.
Intensive sculpting and firm fixation: a USP2 thread body holds tissue securely after placement.
Long-lasting effect: PLLA supports ongoing collagen stimulation around the thread track as it is gradually absorbed.

Choosing a delivery system

Sharp Needle. A cutting tip that pierces tissue directly, giving the most precise control of entry point and depth. Preferred where the practitioner wants a direct path without a separate entry puncture, and for firm, fibrous tissue.

L Cannula. A blunt-tip cannula that advances by separating tissue rather than cutting it, lowering the risk of vessel and nerve trauma and reducing bruising. Requires a pilot entry point. A common choice for midface and jawline lifting vectors where vascular safety is the priority.

W Cannula. Also a blunt-tip cannula with the same atraumatic advantages, in an alternative tip design suited to practitioners who prefer its handling and thread-release behaviour. Useful for clinics standardising on cannula technique across multiple lifting zones.

In short: sharp for precision and speed, cannula (L or W) for safety and lower downtime. Many clinics stock both so each case can be matched to the right tool.

Typical indications

Midface and cheek lifting, jawline and jowl definition, nasolabial fold support, brow lift and neck contouring. Final indication, vector design and number of threads are determined by the treating practitioner.

FAQ

What is the difference between a molding thread and a regular cog thread?

Molding thread cogs are formed by a heat-free moulding process instead of being cut into the filament, so the cogs are more integral to the thread body and the PLLA keeps its original properties.

Sharp needle or cannula?

Sharp needles offer precise, direct insertion; L and W cannulas have blunt tips that reduce the risk of vessel injury and bruising but need an entry point.

How is PLLA different from PDO for lifting?

PLLA is absorbed more slowly than PDO and is known for sustained collagen stimulation, which supports a longer-lasting result.

Which pack size should I order?

10 pcs for trialling a delivery system, 30 or 50 pcs for routine clinic use and better unit pricing.

Do you supply distributors?

Yes. Contact us for volume pricing and mixed orders across our thread range.
