PDO & PCL Aesthetic Threads for Lift, Contour and Skin Rejuvenation

If you are comparing aesthetic thread options for facial laxity, contour definition, fine-line concerns or more localized areas such as the eye and nose region, the thread structure matters as much as the size. Deenora brings together smooth, spiral, structured, multi-line and area-specific PDO options, along with PCL and Double formats, so the product can be matched to the treatment plan rather than selected by gauge alone.

Which type of thread is being considered?

What you may be looking to address	Thread design to discuss	What makes the design different
Early laxity, fine lines or a smooth-thread approach	PDO Mono	A smooth profile with multiple gauge and length choices. The design is simpler than a cog, fish-bone or spiral thread.
More visible contour or lifting support	PDO COG, Fish Bone or Molding	Structured profiles designed to create a more defined anchoring pattern than a smooth Mono thread. The exact result depends on the model, technique and individual.
A spiral thread design	PDO Screw, Tornado or Tornado Screw	Spiral or screw-shaped construction. Tornado Screw is identified as a double-spiral option in the current product information.
Multiple lines in one thread configuration	PDO Multi	16lines and 10lines options use different line counts and gauges, giving the practitioner distinct configurations to evaluate.
A more localized facial-area option	PDO Eye, Nose or Mini Cog	Shorter or more specific combinations of gauge and length, with Eye and Nose models named for the area they are intended to help organize.
A different material or extended format	PCL Mesh, PCL Molding, PCL COG 3D or PDO Double	Different material, structure or long-format construction. The selected model’s documentation should be checked before use.

Understand the product before choosing a model

Mono smooth threads: a lighter, more discreet thread profile

PDO Mono threads have a smooth surface rather than visible cogs or a spiral profile. They are commonly considered when the treatment plan calls for a smooth thread approach to skin quality, early laxity or fine-line concerns. The available options include 30G25mm, 30G38mm, 29G38mm and 27G50mm.

A smaller gauge and shorter length are not automatically “better.” They create a different product configuration. The practitioner should select the gauge and length according to the treatment area, tissue condition, technique and product instructions. These Mono models are listed as 50pcs options.

COG, Fish Bone and Molding threads: structured anchoring designs

Unlike a smooth Mono thread, these families use a named structured profile. COG models are identified by 3D or 4D designations, Fish Bone models use a directional fish-bone profile, and Molding models use a molded structure with Sharp or cannula options. They are generally the families to discuss when the treatment plan requires a more defined structural or anchoring design.

The presence of a cog, barb or molded profile does not guarantee a particular lifting result. Outcome, symmetry, comfort, swelling, bruising and recovery depend on the exact product, placement method, practitioner experience and individual response.

Screw and Tornado threads: spiral surface design

Screw and Tornado threads use a spiral-style construction. PDO Mono Screw 27G50mm and PDO Tornado Screw 27G50mm share the listed gauge, length and pack size but have different named structures. PDO Tornado 26G60mm is a separate size combination. This family may be discussed when the practitioner is comparing a spiral design with a smooth or barbed option.

Multi threads: more than one line in the named configuration

PDO Multi 16lines L 21G38mm and PDO Multi 10lines L 23G38mm are designed as different multi-line configurations. Both are listed at 38mm and 20pcs, but the line count and gauge are different. The line count is therefore a meaningful product difference, not just a variation in naming.

Eye, Nose and Mini Cog threads: localized size combinations

PDO Eye thread W is listed in 30G38mm and 30G25mm. PDO Nose thread L is listed in 19G38mm and 19G60mm. PDO Mini Cog Screw S is listed as 25G38mm / 10pcs. These options can make a product range easier to organize around localized treatment discussions, but an area name does not replace an anatomical assessment or confirm that a model is suitable for a particular person.

PCL and Double formats: material and construction alternatives

The PCL options include PCL Mesh 19G38mm, PCL Molding S 19G100mm and PCL COG 3D S 19G100mm. The Double options include PDO Double Molding W 20G/130mm/400mm and PDO Double Cog 4D L 19G/125mm/400mm. These are not interchangeable with the PDO Mono or standard COG options simply because a gauge or length may look similar. The material, structure and complete size combination must be confirmed from the selected product documentation.

Important information before treatment

This product range is intended for professional medical aesthetic use. Selection and application should be carried out by an appropriately qualified medical professional. Results, duration, comfort and recovery vary with the exact model, placement technique, treatment area, skin and tissue condition, and individual response.

FAQ

What do these aesthetic threads do?

These PDO and PCL threads are designed to provide temporary tissue support through different thread structures. Smooth Mono threads offer a simple, smooth profile, while COG, Fish Bone and Molding threads use structured designs for stronger anchoring discussions. Screw and Tornado threads use spiral constructions. They are not permanent implants, dermal fillers or a replacement for surgical facelift procedures.

Which thread is usually considered for facial lifting and contour support?

For a more structured lifting or contour-support approach, practitioners generally compare COG, Fish Bone and Molding designs. For a smoother and more discreet thread approach, Mono may be considered. Screw and Tornado options are used when a spiral structure is preferred. The final choice depends on the treatment area, tissue condition and treatment plan.

What is the difference between Mono, Screw and COG threads?

Mono threads have a smooth surface. Screw threads use a spiral profile. COG threads have a structured cog profile designed for tissue anchoring. In simple terms, Mono focuses on a smooth thread design, Screw focuses on a spiral design, and COG focuses on a structured anchoring design.

Which thread is used for the eye or nose area?

This collection includes PDO Eye thread and PDO Nose thread options with shorter and more localized size combinations. Eye thread models are available in 30G25mm and 30G38mm. Nose thread models are available in 19G38mm and 19G60mm. These models are designed for area-specific selection, but the final choice depends on the anatomy and treatment plan.

Are PDO and PCL threads the same?

No. PDO and PCL are different thread materials. This collection includes PDO Mono, Screw, COG, Fish Bone, Molding and Multi designs, as well as PCL Mesh, PCL Molding and PCL COG options. They should not be treated as interchangeable because material, structure and product documentation may differ.

How long does the result last?

The result is temporary and does not last forever. The actual duration varies according to the material, thread structure, treatment area, insertion technique, skin condition and individual response. There is no single duration that applies to every PDO or PCL model, so the expected timeline should be explained for the exact product selected.

Will there be swelling or bruising after treatment?

Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness or sensitivity can occur after a thread procedure. These reactions are common possibilities with an invasive aesthetic treatment, but their intensity and duration vary. Patients should plan for a recovery period and follow the aftercare instructions provided by the treating professional.

Can these threads be used by anyone?

No. Thread treatment is not suitable for everyone. A medical professional must review your health history, skin and tissue condition, treatment goals, medication use and any relevant contraindications before treatment. Product selection should be based on the exact instructions for the selected model.
